Inspired by her dad at a young age, Samantha has always loved being in the kitchen. She was making cookies from scratch at a young age and her dad was teaching her how to make a delicious concoction out of what seemed like nothing. She traveled a lot during & after high school and decided to put herself through college with a major in Baking & Pastry (where she met her best friend & now husband, Tom.) The passion for cooking & baking (and her husband) has only grown. She really enjoys being the cook in her family, since Tom’s cooking skills consist of Ramen noodles and grilled cheese. Samantha and Tom were blessed with a daughter, Judith (Jude) in 2014 and she is the sassy little spice to their life.
After being diagnosed with Crohn’s disease at age 21, Samantha was very much about not letting it interfere with her life. Inspired by the quote “I may be chronically ill, but I am also chronically fabulous” she came up with the name Crohnically Fabulous to play off of her Crohn’s disease. This name has become her team name for the CCFA Take Steps Walk (Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America) where she walks with friends & family to support and raise money for finding a cure for these debilitating diseases. The blog will follow Samantha’s Life, her Crohn’s Journey, Cakes, Food, and anything else she deems fit.
